GATE 2027: deadline to fix application defects extended to 30 November 2026
IIT Madras has moved the closing date of the no-fee GATE 2027 defect rectification window to 30 November 2026. The fee-based data correction window and the admit card date are still to be announced.
IIT Madras, the organising institute for GATE 2027, has extended the application rectification window for scrutiny defects again. The official important-dates page now gives Monday, 30 November 2026 as the closing date, in place of the earlier deadline of 3 November 2026. The window opened on 14 October 2026 and no fee is charged for these corrections.
Zonal institutes are still scrutinising applications. Candidates who get an email saying their application is defective should log in to the GOAPS portal and make the change asked for before the new deadline. The portal shows each application as under scrutiny, defective, or in order and accepted. Applicants who registered with an unverified DigiLocker account must give consent for DigiLocker Drive access and upload their photo ID proof as instructed.
Other dates on the official page:
- Data correction window (on candidate request, with fee): to be announced
- Exam city allotment notification: 4 January 2027
- Admit card download: to be announced
- Examinations: 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027
- Results: 19 March 2027
IIT Madras states that all dates may change, so applicants should keep checking their email and GOAPS status.
