GATE 2027 registration closes; application corrections allowed until 21 October 2026
IIT Madras ran a final late-fee registration window from 15 to 16 October 2026. The GATE 2027 application rectification window opened on 14 October and closes on 21 October 2026.
IIT Madras, the organising institute for GATE 2027, has closed registration after a short special window and moved on to the application correction stage.
Key dates
- Special late-fee registration window: 10:30 am on 15 October 2026 to 10:29 am on 16 October 2026 (announced on 14 October 2026)
- Application rectification window: 14 October to 21 October 2026
Who it applies to All GATE 2027 applicants, including those registered for Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) and Electrical Engineering (EE).
What to do next Log in to the GOAPS application portal and check whether any defect has been flagged in your application. According to the information brochure, 21 October 2026 is also the last date to change category, paper or exam city, add a second paper, or edit personal details; an additional fee may apply for each change. Do not delete the DigiLocker account you applied with, as IIT Madras says all future communication will be linked to it.
