GATE 2027 exams on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027; results on 19 March
The revised GATE 2027 information brochure (27 September 2026) lists exam dates of 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027, exam-city notification on 4 January 2027 and results on 19 March 2027.

Schedule (tentative)
- Exam dates: 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2027 (Saturdays and Sundays)
- Sessions: forenoon 9:30 am to 12:30 pm; afternoon 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
- Exam city notification: 4 January 2027
- Admit card download: to be announced
- Results: 19 March 2027
Exam format GATE 2027 is a computer-based test with 30 papers. Each paper lasts three hours and carries 100 marks: 15 for General Aptitude and 85 for the subject. Questions are multiple choice, multiple select and numerical answer type, and only the on-screen virtual calculator may be used. There are no exam centres outside India; the test will be held in more than 300 Indian cities. Scores stay valid for three years.
What to do next CS, DA and EE candidates should plan revision for an exam in the first three weekends of February and watch the official site for the paper-wise timetable and admit card release. The brochure notes that all dates are liable to change.
