UGC NET December 2026: corrigendum revises exam dates to 14–18 and 21 December
NTA's corrigendum of 16 October 2026 sets UGC NET December 2026 for 14–18 December and 21 December 2026, with exam city slips from 23 November and admit cards from 7 December 2026.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a corrigendum to the UGC NET December 2026 information bulletin on 16 October 2026, together with an updated bulletin. Where the two bulletins differ, the updated one applies.
Main changes:
- Exam dates: 14 to 18 December 2026 and 21 December 2026 (previously 14 to 19 December, with 20 and 21 December as buffer days); a subject-wise schedule will be issued separately
- Exam city intimation: from 23 November 2026
- Admit card: from 7 December 2026
- Each subject is planned to be held in a single shift; results will be given in marks with a percentile score, and marks will be normalised only if a subject runs in more than one shift
- Pens will be provided at the centre, and water in transparent bottles is allowed
- Answer key challenges will cost ₹200 per question challenged
The exam remains a three-hour computer-based test with no break: Paper 1 (50 questions, 100 marks) and Paper 2 (100 questions, 200 marks), with no negative marking.
What to do next: read the comparative statement and the updated bulletin before applying or editing your form. Applications close on 28 October 2026, and the correction window is 2 to 4 November 2026.
