The National Testing Agency (NTA) has given candidates more time to apply for UGC NET December 2026. In a public notice dated 27 October 2026, it moved the last date for the online application form to 31 October 2026, up to 11:50 pm, without any late fee. The form was earlier due to close on 28 October.
Revised dates
- Last date to submit the online application form: 31 October 2026 (11:50 pm)
- Last date for a successful fee payment: 31 October 2026 (11:50 pm)
NTA says all other terms in the Information Bulletin and its earlier notices stay the same. The correction window is 2 to 4 November 2026. Under the corrigendum of 16 October 2026, the exam will be held on 14 to 18 and 21 December 2026, with city intimation slips from 23 November and admit cards from 7 December.
What to do next: Candidates who have not finished applying should complete the form and pay the fee well before the new deadline to avoid last-minute technical problems, and keep an eye on the NTA and UGC NET websites for further notices.
