CTET 22nd edition to be held on 12 and 13 December 2026
CBSE's public notice of 14 September 2026 fixes 12 and 13 December 2026 for the rescheduled 22nd CTET. Exam city and date details come 15 days before the exam; admit cards two days before.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The edition was originally scheduled for 6 September 2026, but CBSE said in August that a revised date would be announced after it reopened applications.
Key dates:
- Exam: 12 and 13 December 2026
- Exam city and the date allotted to each candidate: on the CTET portal 15 days before the exam
- Admit card with exam centre details: on the CTET portal two days before the exam
The notice applies to all candidates registered for the 22nd edition (Paper I and Paper II), whether they applied in the first window (11 May to 10 June 2026) or in the reopened window (25 August to 1 September 2026). CBSE allots the exam city and date; candidates cannot choose them.
What to do next: keep your application number and password ready, check ctet.nic.in for your city and date details 15 days before the exam, and download the admit card as soon as it is released. Plan your revision so that you are ready for either day.
