CTET 22nd edition: extra application window and correction window held in Aug–Sep 2026
Citing a Supreme Court judgment, CBSE reopened CTET applications from 25 August to 1 September 2026 and allowed corrections from 7 to 10 September 2026. Both windows have now closed.
CBSE gave eligible candidates a second chance to apply for the 22nd edition of CTET. The first application window ran from 11 May to 10 June 2026, when the exam was planned for 6 September 2026.
In a public notice dated 25 August 2026, CBSE referred to a Supreme Court judgment stressing that eligible teachers should get a reasonable opportunity to obtain the required TET qualification. It reopened the online portal from 25 August to 1 September 2026 for eligible candidates who had missed the earlier window. Those who had already applied did not need to apply again.
A further notice dated 7 September 2026 opened an online correction facility on ctet.nic.in from 7 to 10 September 2026. Candidates from both application windows could correct their particulars, as applicable, and CBSE said no corrections would be allowed after 10 September 2026.
Both windows have closed, and the exam has since been fixed for 12 and 13 December 2026. Candidates should make sure the details on their confirmation page are correct and keep their login details safe for downloading the city intimation and admit card.
