The Staff Selection Commission declared the final result of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Examination, 2025 on 3 August 2026.
- 1,731 candidates were provisionally shortlisted for the further selection process.
- Posts were allocated on merit-cum-preference and on the Fix/Float option chosen in the sliding and identity verification round held on 20 and 21 July 2026 at SSC regional offices.
- Candidates who did not attend that round in person were treated as absent and excluded.
- No reserve or waiting list is prepared; document verification and appointment are handled by the allocated departments.
On 21 August 2026, SSC uploaded the Paper-II final answer keys, question papers cum response sheets and marks. Candidates could view them by logging in from 21 August (6 pm) to 4 September 2026 (6 pm); that window has now closed.
For JE 2026 aspirants: the selection rules have changed for the new cycle. In 2025, ties were resolved on aggregate Paper-I and Paper-II marks, whereas the 2026 notice makes Paper-I qualifying and bases final merit on Paper-II alone.
