UPSSSC to verify candidates' Aadhaar at its exams; update biometric details in advance
In a notice dated 22 September 2026, UPSSSC said candidates appearing in its future exams will undergo Aadhaar verification, and advised them to update their Aadhaar and biometric data (fingerprints and iris).
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission issued a notice on 22 September 2026 about exam security.
- What changes: to make its examination system fairer and more secure, the Commission will carry out Aadhaar verification of candidates appearing in its examinations from now on.
- What candidates should do: get your biometric data (fingerprints and iris) and Aadhaar card updated in advance, so that the verification does not fail because of a mismatch.
- Who it applies to: candidates in upcoming UPSSSC examinations, which include the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026 scheduled for 25 October, 30 October and 1 November 2026.
The notice does not set a separate deadline or procedure. Read the instructions printed on your PET admit card for any exam-day identity requirements once it is released.
