The National Testing Agency issued a public notice on 24 October 2026 inviting online applications for JEE (Main) 2027 Session 1, along with the Information Bulletin.
Key dates
- Online application: 24 October to 22 November 2026 (up to 11:50 pm); fee payment by the same time
- Late submission with an extra fee of Rs 500: 23 to 26 November 2026
- Correction window: 27 to 29 November 2026

- Admit cards: 13 January 2027
- Exam dates: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027
These exam dates replace the window proposed in NTA's earlier calendar. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) is a three-hour computer-based test with two shifts, 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. Each subject has an MCQ section and a numerical-answer section, and both carry negative marking. The exam is offered in 13 languages.
Apply online only, on the JEE (Main) website, and submit just one application. Candidates applying now pay for Session 1 only. A separate notice will open Session 2 (April 2027), which can use the same application number.
