AWS SAA-C03 exam guide revised on 29 October 2026; Amazon Elastic Transcoder no longer in scope
AWS published version 1.1 of the Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C03) exam guide on 29 October 2026; it lists Amazon Elastic Transcoder as removed from the in-scope services. The Italian version retires after 31 December 2026.
AWS has published version 1.1 of the exam guide for AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C03), dated 29 October 2026. Version 1.0 was published on 28 August 2026. AWS says exam guide updates are published roughly one month before they are reflected in the exam.
What the revisions page lists
- Removed from the in-scope services list: Amazon Elastic Transcoder
- Removed from the out-of-scope list: AWS DeepComposer, Amazon DevOps Guru, Amazon Elastic Inference, Amazon Managed Blockchain and Amazon Sumerian
The exam code remains SAA-C03, with four content domains: Design Secure Architectures (30%), Design Resilient Architectures (26%), Design High-Performing Architectures (24%) and Design Cost-Optimized Architectures (20%). The passing score is 720 on a scale of 100 to 1,000.
Language change
The AWS certification page states that the Italian version of the exam will be retired after 31 December 2026.
Candidates should prepare from the current version of the guide and check its in-scope services list. Anyone who wants to take the exam in Italian should sit it by 31 December 2026.
