SSC GD 2026: shortlist for PET/PST re-uploaded showing applied and considered category
On 23 October 2026 SSC clarified why some reserved-category candidates appear as UR in the GD 2026 PET/PST shortlists and uploaded detailed lists showing both categories. Other result conditions are unchanged.
The Staff Selection Commission issued a clarification on 23 October 2026 about the Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026 result declared on 12 October 2026.
Some candidates had questioned the categories shown in the lists of candidates provisionally shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). The Commission explained that certain candidates who applied as SC, ST, OBC, EWS or ESM qualified the computer-based exam on the standards set for Unreserved candidates, so they were shown as UR.
SSC has now uploaded detailed lists that show both the category a candidate applied under and the category under which they were considered:
- List-I: female candidates shortlisted for PET/PST
- List-II: male candidates shortlisted for PET/PST, other than SSF
All other terms of the CBE result stay the same. Shortlisted candidates can check the revised lists on the SSC website and should watch for the PET/PST schedule.
