GMAT Superscore now included on official score reports
GMAC announced GMAT Superscore on 16 June 2026. Since 12 August 2026, Official Score Reports include it: a figure built from a candidate's best section scores across valid attempts of the current GMAT edition.
GMAC announced GMAT Superscore on 16 June 2026, and says Official Score Reports have included the Superscore data point since 12 August 2026.
How it works
- It combines your highest Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights section scores from all valid attempts of the current GMAT edition, taken at a test centre or online.
- It uses the same 205–805 scale as the Total Score but has no percentile ranking.
- GMAT 10th Edition scores and expired scores are not counted.
- Your original attempt scores are not changed; the Superscore is an additional data point.
- There is no extra cost.
When you send a single-attempt score to a programme, your Superscore (if you have one) is included automatically and you cannot opt out. The report shows which section scores were used, with their exam dates and delivery method. Each school decides whether and how to use it.
GMAC still advises candidates to aim for their best section and total scores on every attempt rather than plan on combining sections later.
