AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals skills-measured outline last revised 20 July 2026, Microsoft Learn shows

Microsoft Learn's official certification page for Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (exam AZ-900) shows a 'Last Updated' date of 07/20/2026, making this the most recent revision to the exam's content on record. The exam continues to test three skill areas: describing cloud concepts, describing Azure architecture and services, and describing Azure management and governance.

The exam remains a 45-minute, proctored assessment and is positioned as the common entry point into Azure certifications, with no beginner-level prerequisite. It can be scheduled through Pearson VUE, or through Certiport for students and educators. The page does not list a retirement date or a successor exam code for AZ-900 itself.

Candidates preparing for AZ-900 should use the current study guide linked from Microsoft Learn, since the skills-measured document was refreshed as recently as July 2026 and could affect preparation if using older materials. There is no indication of any upcoming structural change, fee change, or retirement for this exam at this time.
