APPSC Group-II 2026 brief notification: 686 posts, online applications from 10 to 30 November 2026

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has issued Brief Notification No. 37/2026, dated 13 October 2026, for direct recruitment to Group-II Services.

Vacancies: 686 provisional posts. They include 200 Deputy Tahsildar, 176 Deputy Mandal Parishad Development Officer, 90 Senior Accountant, 71 Assistant Section Officer (GAD), 48 Junior Accountant and 40 GST Officer posts, plus smaller numbers in other services. Vacancy numbers may change once departments confirm them.

Key dates:

• Detailed notification: on or before 10 November 2026
• Online applications: 10 November to 30 November 2026 (until 11:59 pm)

Selection: The Screening Test is an offline, OMR-based objective paper in General Studies and Mental Ability: 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes. One-third of a question's marks is deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates who clear it sit a Main Examination of two objective papers carrying 300 marks in total. The screening test date will be announced in the detailed notification.

Eligibility: A bachelor's degree is required. Some posts need a specific degree or an additional computer qualification. Eligibility is judged as on the date of the detailed notification.
