UPPSC PCS 2026 notified for about 500 posts; application deadline extended to 3 August 2026
UPPSC issued Advt. No. A-1/E-1/2026 for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2026 on 25 June 2026. The last date for online applications was later moved from 27 July to 3 August 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission issued Advertisement No. A-1/E-1/2026 on 25 June 2026 for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) (General/Special Recruitment) Examination, 2026.
- Vacancies: about 500; the number may rise or fall.
- Applications: opened on 25 June 2026 through the OTR-based system. A notice dated 27 July 2026, citing heavy server load, moved the last date for fee payment and online submission from 27 July to 3 August 2026, and the correction and fee-reconciliation deadline to 10 August 2026.
- Age: 21 to 40 years as on 1 July 2026, with relaxations for eligible categories.
- Fee: Rs 125 (unreserved, EWS, OBC), Rs 65 (SC, ST, ex-servicemen), Rs 25 (persons with disabilities).
- Prelims pattern: Paper II (CSAT) is qualifying with a 33% minimum, and merit is decided on Paper I marks. Candidates must appear in both papers to be evaluated.
