TS Police Constable 2026: SCT PC Preliminary Written Test tentatively set for 20 December
TGPRB's 17 September 2026 press note gives a tentative 20 December 2026 date for the SCT PC Preliminary Written Test, after online applications for the 7,437-post 2026 drive closed on 16 September.
The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TGPRB) issued a press note on 17 September 2026 (Rc Nos. 189, 225, 234 and 279/Rect./Rect-1,2,3/2026) confirming that the Preliminary Written Test (PWT) for Police Constable-level posts is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, 20 December 2026, in the forenoon session.
This covers the SCT PC (Civil) and equivalent posts notified on 29 July 2026 across the police, Special Protection Force, Fire/Disaster Response and Prisons departments, which together carry 7,139 PC-level vacancies out of 7,437 total posts in the drive. Online applications were accepted from 19 August to 16 September 2026, over a 28-day window the board says ran smoothly, aided by an age relaxation of up to ten years for most PC-level posts.
TGPRB describes the 20 December date as tentative. Candidates should confirm the final PWT schedule and watch for the admit card release closer to the date on tgprb.in.
