TS Police SI 2026: SCT SI Preliminary Written Test tentatively set for 29 November
TGPRB's 17 September 2026 press note gives a tentative 29 November 2026 date for the SCT SI Preliminary Written Test, after online applications for the 2026 drive closed on 16 September.
The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TGPRB) issued a press note on 17 September 2026 (Rc Nos. 189, 225, 234 and 279/Rect./Rect-1,2,3/2026) confirming that the Preliminary Written Test (PWT) for Sub-Inspector-level posts is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, 29 November 2026, in the forenoon session.
This covers the SCT SI (Civil) and equivalent posts notified on 29 July 2026 across the police, Special Protection Force, Fire/Disaster Response and Prisons departments, which together carry 298 SI/ASI-level vacancies out of 7,437 total posts in the drive. Online applications were accepted from 19 August to 16 September 2026, and the board says the process concluded smoothly over this 28-day window, helped by an age relaxation of up to seven years for SI/ASI-level and SCT PC Driver posts.
TGPRB describes the 29 November date as tentative. Candidates should confirm the final PWT schedule and watch for the admit card release closer to the date on tgprb.in.
